About the Role We are hiring an experienced ERP Data Migration Specialist to support a major transformation programme migrating business data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) to SAP S/4HANA.
The role will focus on the identification, extraction, cleansing, validation, mapping, translation and migration readiness of business data, with particular emphasis on procurement and material master data.
You will work closely with business data owners, SMEs and functional teams to ensure legacy D365 data is understood, accurately mapped to SAP structures and ready for successful migration.
This is a fully remote contract role, working within CET hours, with no travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, extract and collect relevant business data from Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Focus on procurement and/or material master data, including purchasing data, supplier/material relationships and material master records.
- Cleanse, interpret, validate and prepare legacy data for migration.
- Map D365 data fields, values and structures to the corresponding SAP S/4HANA requirements.
- Translate legacy data into SAP-compatible formats and values.
- Validate data relationships, dependencies and business rules.
- Identify duplicates, inconsistencies, missing data and migration defects.
- Assess data readiness and potential migration impacts.
- Support data transformation, testing and migration activities.
- Work with business data owners and SMEs to clarify legacy D365 fields, data structures and business context.
- Provide legacy-system knowledge to minimise repeated clarification and ensure accurate migration decisions.
- Create and maintain well-structured Excel templates for data extraction, cleansing, mapping, validation and migration readiness.
- Document data rules, mappings, exceptions, defects and resolutions.
- Support the business and technical teams throughout the migration lifecycle.

- Work with SMEs and business data owners to resolve issues.
- Provide migration-ready datasets and supporting documentation.
- Support testing, validation and defect resolution.
- Provide D365 legacy context and clarification where required.
- Support final migration activities.
- Ensure all relevant mapping, validation and readiness documentation is complete.
- Proven experience in ERP data migration or master data migration projects.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience migrating data between ERP platforms is essential.
- Experience with procurement, purchasing and/or material master data.
- Strong understanding of data extraction, cleansing, validation, mapping and transformation.
- Experience identifying data dependencies, relationships and migration impacts.
- Knowledge of SAP MM, material master data or procurement processes would be highly advantageous.
- Experience supporting D365-to-SAP migrations would be particularly valuable.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with large datasets and migration templates.
- Comfortable working with business SMEs, data owners and technical teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand legacy data and translate it into a new ERP environment.
- Able to work independently in a remote, international project environment.
This role is suitable for a data migration specialist with either strong procurement data or material master experience.
