Location: 1-2 days per week in the Portsmouth office & 3-4 days per week remote working
Rate: £480 - £492 per day OUTSIDE IR35

Summary
As the Jira Engineer, you will need to deliver the following outcome(s):
  • Implement Service Architecture design plans, build out the JSM environment.
  • Test, and iterate based on user needs

  • Adaptable Problem-Solver. Since you will be handling everything from L1 support to L3 engineering in a growing environment, you must be comfortable pivoting between routine maintenance and complex solution design without losing momentum.
  • You will work across the team ensuring Jira solutions are integrated seamlessly into the wider programme.
  • User-Centred. By prioritising the developer experience, you will build intuitive service wrappers and support tools that truly empower teams rather than adding friction.
Key Skills:
  • Atlassian administration - Deep, hands-on experience configuring and managing Jira Software, Jira Service Management.
  • Workflow engineering - Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into elegant, functional Jira workflows, automation, and custom schemes.
  • Extensive experience with the Atlassian add-on ecosystem to extend platform capabilities.
  • Comfortable providing multi-level technical support, from high-level L3 architectural troubleshooting to initial L1/L2 triage and resolution.
  • Skilled in documenting system changes, creating user guides, and generating performance reports to track instance health
