- Job Title: IT Category Manager
- Pay Rates: €450 – €525 per day
- Hybrid: Working in Dublin Office (at least 2 visits per week to office)
- Duration: Initial 3 months
Your Role
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for IT procurement, focus area will be, engineering software and IT services
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for complex IT categories with significant organizational impact
- Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and internal requirements to identify optimization opportunities
- Negotiate and manage enterprise agreements with key technology vendors and service providers
- Partner with IT stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly
- Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and value creation across the IT category
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure contractual compliance and value realisation
- Implement innovative procurement approaches that leverage emerging technologies and methodologies
- Provide category expertise and guidance to procurement teams and business stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional teams in complex sourcing projects and digital transformation initiatives
Your Background
- 8 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years specializing in IT category management, experience in Professional Services category would be desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software licensing models, cloud services, and emerging technologies
- Experience managing enterprise-wide technology agreements and complex vendor relationships
- Understanding of IT & Professional Services engagement models, rate structures, and delivery methodologies
- Track record of successfully managing consulting firms, system integrators, and other IT & professional service providers
- Experience with statement of work (SOW) development, negotiation, and management
- Knowledge of resource augmentation models and contingent workforce management
- Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and value improvements
- Advanced analytical skills and proficiency with procurement systems and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
