The OpportunityMy client is a leading global professional services and technology organisation looking for an Intermediate Automation Tester to join their team on an initial contract through to the end of the year, with potential for extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on tester with strong automation experience to work within a dynamic technology environment. The successful candidate will have solid experience with Playwright, a strong understanding of software testing principles, and an ISTQB certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Design, execute and document functional and regression tests.
  • Identify, investigate and report software defects.
  • Work closely with developers, Business Analysts and other QA professionals.
  • Contribute to test planning and overall QA processes.
  • Track and manage defects using Jira.
  • Support continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks.
  • Ensure software releases meet agreed quality standards.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Automation Tester / QA Engineer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
  • ISTQB certification.
  • Experience using Jira for defect and test management.
  • Good understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
  • Experience creating and executing automated and manual test cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing within delivery pipelines.
  • Knowledge of API testing would be advantageous.
This is an immediate requirement, so candidates who are available to start at short notice are strongly preferred.
