About the role We're building an AI Innovation Lab to rapidly prototype and scale intelligent solutions. You'll take ideas from concept to production, delivering both quick experiments and robust systems, with high ownership and minimal supervision.
What you'll do
- Build AI-driven prototypes fast, then harden the best into production
- Own delivery across backend, frontend and infrastructure
- Develop services in Java (17-25) and Spring Boot, with Angular UIs
- Integrate AI services and APIs
- Design REST APIs, distributed systems and event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub)
- Work with SQL Server and deploy to GCP using Docker and Kubernetes
- Contribute to architecture and mentor engineers as the team grows
What you'll bring
- 7+ years of Java (17+ preferred), with strong Spring Boot and microservices experience
- Full stack experience, including Angular
- Kubernetes, Docker and GCP
- CI/CD and DevOps practices
- SQL Server or similar database expertise
- Distributed systems design
- Ability to work independently
Desirable: AI/ML or LLM experience, event streaming, Elastic/Kibana, greenfield projects, token minimalism
