Energy Trading Engineer
Trust in Soda are supporting a leading energy business as they embark on a major programme to build a new, bespoke, centralised trading system — and we're looking for skilled engineers to join the journey.Location: Remote (must be in EU)Length of Contract: 12monthsRate: 50 EUR/HourThe Opportunity:You’ll play a critical role in integrating existing platforms and decommissioning legacy systems (primarily Endur or Beacon), ensuring a seamless transition into the new trading environment. This is a unique chance to work at the heart of a major digital transformation within the energy trading space.Your Responsibilities:Integrate and migrate trading activities from Endur/Beacon into the new centralised system.Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and traders to ensure system reliability and performance.Design and implement solutions for system decommissioning while maintaining data integrity and operational continuity.Support UAT and go-live activities for the new trading platform.Provide technical expertise on best practices for trading system integration and optimisation.What You’ll Bring:Strong hands-on experience with Endur or Beacon trading systems.Deep understanding of energy trading operations and associated workflows.Previous involvement in large system integration, migration, or decommissioning projects.Solid technical background in system architecture, APIs, and database technologies.Collaborative mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.Bonus points for exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS) or experience with bespoke system builds.
